A little bit about me...

Born in Lido Beach, New York and later growing up in Boca Raton, Florida I have always found myself running from the suburbs, and hoping to explore the excitement that exists within a big city. With family in the entertainment industry, I was exposed to the work that goes on behind the scenes in both music and television at a young age. This fed my passion for the entertainment industry, and soon after, I discovered a love for writing. 

During my undergraduate studies at the Florida State University, I decided to pursue a double major in Editing, Writing and Media, and Public Relations. My education and experience have taught me that the field of public relations has established a firm and essential place in today's society. The summer after my freshman year of college, I was fortunate enough to have an internship with the Gab Group, a boutique style public relations firm in south Florida. Here, I gained valuable experience in the field, working under the account executives, and giving my input in editing press materials, event planning, and social media management. Working at Gab, confirmed my love of the industry and special interests in brand development, media relations, and client communications. This experience also led me to several freelance event photography opportunities in south Florida.

I have also gained applicable knowledge working as a leasing ambassador and marketing representative at the Retreat Tallahassee. While focusing on strategic communication with student residents, and using branding that is consistent to our target market, I have been able to get residents involved within the community, successfully encourage many to renew their leases, and also help prospective residents finalize their decision to live in our property. 

Throughout my past employment, I have made it a goal, and a necessity, to find positions that I can gain essential skills from that will be of use in all of my future endeavors.
